This issue of Africa in Fact starts with a very basic premise, namely that governments cannot plan for what they do not know. We look at where the data gaps are, and the implications of this in various countries on the continent. We also look at whether the continent is willing and able to maximise its potential to use technological advances of the fourth industrial revolution.
